No more personal data than we absolutely need. The amount of personal information requested is minimized. If you use a mobile phone to make entries, itsmylife will additionally store your mobile phone number. 2. Security when using You can always tell when you're in a secure section of a website, because a padlock appears in the screen provided by your Web browser. Secure transmission of personal data All personal and credit card information that you provide is protected during transmission by encryption that scrambles data to make it unintelligible to unauthorized users. 5. Secure storage of personal data All of the personal data in your account is stored by itsmylife in electronic form on a secure server. itsmylife also uses firewall protection to deter hackers and to safeguard the information stored in your account. Careful use of cookies Every time you access your account online, a session cookie is stored in your browser – but only for as long as you are in the website. No expiration date is set, so the cookie automatically expires when you close your browser. logdit also goes one step further to ensure that nobody can get to your browser and enter your private account. The only information saved in the cookie is a session identifier generated by the logdit database. This is only valid for a set time period (about 20 minutes) from the last time you opened a new screen in this site. So, even if you leave your account open on your browser and walk away, any unauthorized user seeking to get into your account would have to access your computer within the set time period. After that time, even if an unauthorized user could get the contents of the cookie and resend them to an itsmylife server, the cookie would be invalid. No user account information or personal information is stored in the cookie at any time. 7. No exchange, rental or sale of personal data It is the committed policy of itsmylife that it never shares, sells or provides in any way any personal information you supply for private storage about you or any other person. The information you supply is used only for the fulfillment of services and the notification of any new services provided by itsmylife.  Where you participate in a shared log, of course, your log entries will be shared with others, but only members of the private group selected by the person who established the log will be permitted to view your entries. itsmylife will only provide access to log entries if required by law to comply with a subpoena, search warrant, court order or other legally valid reason to release this information. 8. Credit card data If you buy services from logdit.com, your credit card data is passed only to the company providing itsmylife with payment collection services at that time and only for the purpose of securing your payment for use of itsmylife services. 9. Personal information During the time your account is in force, all log entries you made remain stored safely, ready for you to access at any time. 10. Future This Privacy Policy was developed for logdit.com in 2008.
